Takingthe opportunityof this being the 30thAnniversaryAnnualConference,the conferenceexplored the past,presentandfutureofforensicpsychotherapy.Thiswasahybridformatconference,providing both thefirstopportunityfordelegatestoattendinpersonsincetheCOVIDpandemic,aswellasto join remotely.TheAnnualGillMcGauleyPrizewasawardedtoDrDrEmilyTurtonoftheSouth London Partnershipfor a paper entitled"Out of Sight, out of Mind".The 2023Annual Conferencewill take place in Turin, with the theme of "From Pain to Violence: Prevention and Intervention". ``` ## **`Evening Seminars`** ``` TheIAFPeveningseminarshavebeendevelopedtoprovidea resourcethroughouttheyearfor members andthosewithaninterestinforensicpsychotherapy.Theseminarswillbebi-monthlyandthe inaugural seminar will be given by Dr Jacki Craisatti on the 20th April 2023. ``` ## **`Trainees Conference`** ``` AcknowledgingtheeducationalroleoftheIAFP,thefirstTraineesConferencehasbeenplannedon the theme of neuro-psychoanalysis in forensic settings. This will take place in January 2024. ``` ## **`National Associations Committee`** ``` TheNationalAssociationsCommitteehascontinuedtomeettosupportthedevelopmentof national forensicpsychotherapyassociationsandtodevelopamodelofaffiliateshiptotheIAFP.TheUK Forensic PsychotherapyAssociationandtheAustralianForensicPsychotherapyAssociationhavebecome formally affiliatedto the IAFP.A nationalassociationhas been developedin France,with an inauguralconference in Paris later this year and there are plans for furtherassociationsin other countries,includingItaly and Israel.
