They were able to provide grants to their projects in Pakistan. Hope Welfare Trust recognised this and designed and built a purpose made matemity and child hospital in Prahi. This IK)SPital provides vital support to families before, during and after pregr￿ncy. This matemity unit provides a safe and controlled environment for women significantly reducing the mortality morbidity rates in the region. The IK)SPital opened its doors in April 2018 and ￿S seen many thousands of patients, currently averaging 250 people a week. Hope Welfare Trust hospitals working in partnership with AJK government in providing essential facilities for the local community of Prahi. There I￿ve been over 100 live births since the hospital opened and 95 % of people who attended did not have to make any type of fir￿nCial contribution towards their medical treatments as it was deemed, they were from a deprived background. Hope Welfare Trust introduced a zakcrt card for Ory)I￿nS, widows and poor families, this card entitles them to free testing, free x-rays arKI free mecfication. The zakat card is valid for 2 years. The hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Most of the state-of-the-art equipment in the hospital was procured, bought and shipped form the United Kingdom. There have been a number of dental clinics arKI eye camps at the hospital in the last12 months. These clinics and camps are free to all patients. These camps have run via partnerships with other Cl￿ritieS and have proven to be very powlar with the local residents. Hope Welfare Trust also offers scholarships to a few students or their college and university COSts.We hope to increase the number of scholarship stLKlents in the coming years. .r Housing Projects Hope Welfare Trust provides IK)using support for families from poorer backgrounds, ensuring that issues such as overcrowding and poor living conditions are Té acklressed and improved. Hope Welfare Trust works with these families to ensure they have acceptable living provisions. To date, Hope Welfare Trust I￿S built over 25 houses for poor families, arKI I￿S plans to build mary more. These I￿vseS have a very basic specification which includes two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom set.
