The Foundation continued sponsorship of two students at the University of Botswana in Gaborone, two at the University of Malawi in Blantyre and supported three at the University of Addis Ababa.
In 2020 the Foundation donated the “Rachel” device and several tablets to Wala High School in Chiradzulu, Malawi and this was followed by an additional “Rachel” in 2021, a projector and 12 mobile phones for accessing the Rachel.
Teenage pregnancy is high in Malawi (exacerbated by the closing of schools during the Covid outbreak) so the Foundation contributed to the school fees of a 16-year-old student who dropped out of school after becoming pregnant as well as associated school supplies and a bicycle to enable transport to school.
