# **Registered Charity No. 1165040** # **Annual Report** ## **5[th] Jan 2020 – 4[th] Jan 2021** ## **Background** We started our 5[th] year as a CIO with optimism. Our average audience numbers were increasing and we were now well-established with a weekly circulation list of about 850 subscribers and a good working relationship with Buxton Cinema. Of course we didn’t anticipate the devastating effect of the Covid-19 shutdown. Our final screening for the year was on 16[th] March. By then audiences were very jittery and only 16 attended that final screening. Very little further activity took place although, after a short interval of closure, we reopened our lending library of dvds and blurays – these were delivered or collected in a Covid-safe way and a number of our subscribers made good use of the resource. We also maintained contact with our subscribers with updates as they arose and suggested links for VOD services. ## **Looking ahead** There is no way of knowing given the current situation when we will be resuming screenings.
