OWECTIVES AND ACTtVlTIES
Objectives and aims
The charitable objects aTe to benefft the residents of Dover and the neighbDurhood by bringtiig togetber the said
resident4 local authoritics and other organtsauons in a coTnJkm effort ￿ *liwic¢ education and to provide a real andlor
virtual environment in the interests of social welfar¢ for re¢reation leiswe lin￿ occupation with the objective of
improving the condiÈion% of life for the r¢sTd¢Dts.
In the fiwtherance of these objectives the tnL%tees bave the power to establish or secure a wnllnunity centre and to
maintain, manage or c(poperate any slatutory authority in the Jnaintenance and ￿￿ement of such a centre for
activitiS5 promotedby the cbarity.

Dover Community Agsociation owns snd rnaintains the services and fabric of Biggin Hall which is ￿Sed as a conTrDllUllty,
cuItLual venue and WO￿ space. Our workillg P￿er. Future FOu￿dry, ￿￿3.tre the building a day.tO-dxy b￿ls. We
have continued to sw)port Future Foundry by Providing a grant.
We acknowledge and applaud all the great WO￿ Lisa ou1t0￿ Ihver Commutiity Association ff￿A) trustee and director
of Future Foundry is doing in caryyiDg out ￿ obligatioL8 of I￿A througb ￿tIVitieS that have thlly engaged Mrytb the
local conllnuniry, cultural and youtb wups.
tn 2023 Future Foundry be£ame an Arts Council Eng￿d National Portfolio OrgallisatioJ] alld secured an award to
de]iver their work from BiEgill Hall. Other fi]nding awards were secured from Colyer Ferguson ComEllunity TTUSL

Refurbislunent WOTk on the adja¢¢nt MaisoD Dieu (fowo Hall) the ¢loswe of the tadyiwell Car Park continues to
affect the footfall and access around the Hall alld h&8 had an impact on bookings for public events.

At the yvdr end tbere were total fimds of £239,808 (2023 - £240.209). Of these fonds £202,S50 (2023 - £202,086) were

Plans are being forn]ulated to incre￿ the offer of BiggtD Hall to the wider conllni]niry by pmviding new OPPOTtimtties
for the matty ￿0￿p5 who use the hal]. (¥eatn]g space for wOLkshO￿ meetings, quiel worki￿& event4 production and
rel￿tIOn.
There are plans io improve the landscape sum)unding Biggin Hall through a garden design prnject to incorporate new
platttfftg alld fillmiture ￿Allg the makAtig skills of participattts frotll diff¢rent groups that use the Hall.
