congregallon. Thé aim of there being at t8asl four trustees.
2. The trustees met durfng the yearto discuss safeguarding policy, finanw, our rented building
arKI employee issues. Day-l04ay organ5$8lion of the church's activitles and vision Is the
responsibillty of the church knader¥ and empknyees.
3. Whilst indep8nd8nt, the church is aiTilialed to the Christ Central sphere of the New Fronllers
gTOUP of churches arKI is aciively invofved with member churches throughoul Cumbria, the
UK and Internationally wilh intewiion being voluntary. H¢)wever, the charity makas use of the
assistance aV￿lable from such a group parfKuL4rly vthgn dealing with challenging issues. Thg
church attends many events includlng the annual f831ival ￿rnP in August 81 th6 Stsffordshire
Show Ground.

1. The meetlng of church merrthrs for rggular *￿rshIp. teaching, Outreach and proyer. This
undertaken weekly al maYr￿[d Khool, George Street lyJildiTrJ. members homes and
varfous eommunrty venues.
2. Pastoral support throughout lh& church and the k)cality as requir&S or requested.
3. Attending major Christ centr81 events elsewhere n the county.
4. Working with and establishing new thurch plants tn the county, UK and other nation&
5. Operating various coffe8 groups and small groups durirvj the waek.
6, Supporting Churches Together in the Whitehaven Area.
7. Supporting ond working wth a I￿8[ youth resKlenltal centre lor the ages of 1845 who have
been in carg and ￿melesS.
8. Developing contacts vAth Christian¥ in other natlon8. pathularfy into Mgxico.
A conshlerable amount of work is carried out by volurrteer5 who support tho Vtsion and Values of the

Achlwements:
Even though thls year has been a huge challenge to the Covid 19 pandemiq Iruslees are
satisf￿1 that the objectives are b￿ng achieved and happy with the pru9ress that the Church ha5
made during thb year.
Even though our pub]Ic, In p8rson, meetiry have &coped due to Covkl restriction& we havo
conllnued to meet online each week to maintavj ￿r church communty. The church has maintained
majorfty of our members, with new pecolè Joinw￿ cfflllne and becoming part of the church. Nomially,
throughout the year, the church and individual membèrs support Christian outreach and social actlon
proj8Cts that we organtse and run. This year. we have managed lo conlinue connecttons with the
followng:
1. During the 8PriThJ V•E 8t¥rted a smau fchjd bank project se￿ng many glderly peopl8 and
f￿llieS who were In need during the fi151 k¢k(knn. The church dr¢¥)ped off weekly shopping
to provide food bags lo Ih05e we identified in need. We also partnered with 3 ¢hurch in our
n8twork of churches, to help wfth theirfair share project. whtch also provided some food items
for our own foodbank.
2. We have continued our parent and toddler group online during the $prtry and summer wlth
sing-a-longs for the kids and we were able to hand (xrt Christmas craft bags to parentg and
klds who are part of the toddler group.
3. Wè ¢onlinued wlh our'christmas Hamper GNe away where tho church mad& ovgr80 luxury
food hampers forfamilles, IndNiduals, and the elderty in need over Christmas.
4. We were able lo offer financial supp)rt lo our singk* parent fwnilies In the church thn)ugh tha
generosity of our don0￿.
S. We also kept our connectlon5 Wrth the youth foyer in town. Thls Is a re8ld8ntlal project whlch
prcvides accommodation for young adults who have been in the care system or homeless.
WO nom81ty have 8 prcie¢t which invofves members of thè chU￿h vislling the centre and
providing dinner, ￿0kIng lessons arKI friendship for the young people. Wrth reslrictlons thi8
year, we have not been ab￿ lo do thi& However. we made up 20 Chrlslmas bag510
hand lo the younG peoplè.
8. In 2020, allhough re51ricted, we have conttriued to ¢>Jnmii extra 5UPPOrt for other Churches
outslde of Grace Church Whitehaven through ￿[en Rossi who WOTk8 at gUPPOrtkng and
helping churches In Curnbria. LanCashI￿ and Mexieo.
7. We were also able to give lo wderwork tn our m¢)MYment of chuth, to help 8UPPOrt
churches, projecis and charities.
Flnancl41 Revlew
1. 2020 has prO￿d to be a challenging year for finances but one we se6rn lo be workuig well
through, despite fosing some significant gmng through our in per50n, Sunday meetings. We
were able lo set up more online gmng opportunities through Givf App and steward 8ervKe¥
to help members to gNe through abtemalive method8.
2. We were pfeased th81 a number of membws added to th& Ilsl of monthly standing order
donations, évèn though we did b8e some givlng from Sunday meetings {as explained above).

3. The trustees are Satisfied with the Cu￿nt fffAnces of th8 church and are ¥atisfied wlh the
current reserves that are hekj in the l)ank.
4. The Church plans to Start Sunday meetirvJs at MayfighJ School, once it Is deomed safe to do
so. under government guiddines. The same will to other meetirKJ8 ofsmall groups,
youth and crtrtreach Work.
5. In March 2020, we decided to end ¢)ur contraA for Ihe rented buifdin9- The GeDrge Street
Centre. which we had been running from 2014. The contr￿1 end￿ in July 2020 and we rK)
longw use or fenl that buitdwwJ space.

6. We continu8 to provide managemanl a￿L4jnts whKh aid deciston fflaking atwj expense
moniloriro. At It￿ end of 2019 we started to US8 swv*ces of a self-employed bookkeeper
lo help sharpen our expense monitoring. fnances and yearly bookkeeping. This has pmed lo
be an exceilent dÉcisKn and V•E are ncw operating finance5 and budget through Qu]ckBooks.
