STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

The British Alevi Federation is an unincorporated registered charity. It is established under a constitution which establishes the objects and powers of the charity and its members. Under this constitution the chair of the managing committee is elected at the annual General Meeting to serve a period of no more than one year subject of ratification.

Risk management

The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

Objectives of the Charity

  1. To advance the Alevi faith for the public benefit in accordance with the statement of beliefs set out the annex attached (the Alevi booklet).

  2. To provide recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare to the general public to improve the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

Accountants' report to the director of BRITISH ALEVI FEDERATION

You considered that the charity is exempt from an audit for the year ended 31 December 2021. You have acknowledged, on the balance sheet your responsibilities for complying with the requirments of the charities SORP with respect to accounting records and preparation of accounts. These responsbilities include preparing accounts that give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the end of the financial year and its income and expenditure for the financial Year.

In accordance with your instruction we have prepared the accounts which comprise the Income and Expenditure, the Balance Sheet and the statement of Funds Availbale and the related notes from the accounting record of the charty and on the basis of information and explanations you have given to us.

We have not carried out an audit or any other review, and consequently we do not express any opinion on these accounts.
