## **Annual General Meeting Chairs Annual Report**

## **Introduction** 

We are reporting on the year April 2022 - March 2023. 

BG raised their charge per session to £9.50 from January 2023. Our charge per session has been £8.50 since April 2022. 

Combined with craft fairs, a Body Shop calendar raffle and much appreciated legacies and donations, the group continues to fundraise to meet the shortfall. 

The treasurer’s report will provide a breakdown of this funding. 

We operated on Tuesdays in term time this reporting year. 

## **Riders and Riding Opportunities** 

We have 33 registered riders: 

   - 13 males under 18 

   - 6 females under 18 

   - 9 males over 18 

   - 5 females over 18 

- We have 16 registered volunteers (including Trustees), 15 who have are able to regularly help with riding or riding related support this year. 

- We are very fortunate to have 4 qualified and talented coaches (Jaspa, Louise, Holly and Lyndsay), with Sara as a coach in training. 

- We provided 630 sessions - which is a fantastic achievement, and when we look back, we have exceeded our pre pandemic figures.  This is down to a committed

and talented team providing a range of equine based opportunities and experiences. 


   - 425 in 2021

- The National Championships were held in 2022 but could not enter riders for the qualifiers because of limited riding time to prepare. Due to the extreme heat classes at the National were reduced, which was a great disappointment. 

- We held a successful Open Day in July 2022. 

- We were proud and humbled to be nominated, and win, Organisation of the Year at the Tywyn Spotlight Awards in October 2022 – a fabulous event. 


## **Conclusion** 

We were been fully operational this year and could offer a full range of riding and stable management sessions and hold a range of fundraising activities without any restrictions. 

We have an amazing team, who are inspirational in their commitment and dedication to supporting participants in person centred and non judgmental setting. 

We are developing our Cyswllt Ceffyl/Horse Connections sessions, and hope to offer Vaulting again in the next year. 

This is all only possible because of our talented coaches and helpers – what an awesome bunch of folk they are.
