OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The charity was set up in 2009 in memory of a special little girl, Georgia, who allended Holly Grove School,
and sadly passed away due to ill health. The purpose of the charily Is lo raise money for Our pupils. who
have leaming difficulties and disabilities, along with Iheir families. The Georgia Fourie Bullerfly Fund was
regl8lered with the charity commission on 151h December 2015.
Our main objective as sel out in our governing document is lo enhance the lives of children with special
needs attending Holly Grove School and their families I carers, as determined by the Irusteos, including the
provision of grant fundlng. We wanl lo raise money to benefit our pupils and their parents.
Ttie Georgia Fourie Helping Hand is a SLJbsidiary of The Georgia Fouri6 Bulleffly Fund. The Helping Hand
Graftl awarded twice a yèar lo families identiflèd by a panel made up from the Iru81ees of th8 Butlerlly
Fund, who have no connection 10 8ny pupils ai the schotsl, therefore making rhe d6cision of whlch families lo
hoose impartial. The declsion will be made from tho information given by the families on Ihg completed
8ppllcation lorrh, thosè that meet the ¢riiÈria will be decided by the panel. Those who have been successlul
are not &ligible lo apply again for 12 months. Once a lamily have received il twice they are no longer eligible
to apply. There are two window5 of opportunily, JanLJary and September. No late applications are ac¢epled
alihough families can req￿est their 8pplic8lif)n io be dÈferred to the next window. The Helping Hand granl is
aimed al promoting po8illve life outcomes, prlmarily for the child attending Holly Grove bul also for the whole
lamlly.
SignFfi¢ant activitigs
Yel another year has passed 115 years in lolalll and il has been wonderful lo see our charity grow from
strength lo strength and to see the positive impact that f%Jndraising has on Ouf young people and their
lamilies.
One of the biggosl concerns for our families at present, is accessing high quality after school and holiday
clubs, with staff Iraintd lo meet the needs of pupils with SEND. Whi151 we have been successfvl in attaining
some funding for holiday clubs this year. we have so far been unsuccessful in our bids for after-school club
funding. Whilst we currently have enough funding lo last us until rhe end of the spring term. our main
fundraising drive this year will be to ensure this much needed provision remains in place for our children and
their families for many years lo come.
I would like to thank all of our Iru$l8es, supporters and fundr815ers for thelr contlnued efforts in helping us 10
be a successful ¢harily, making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and
Disabilities. Throughout this report you Gan seg, the wonderful, innovative Ways our supporters come up with
lo raise money. as well as the posillve impacl the funds hove made. I would also like to p8rsohally thanks
Katie Wood, as Cttarlly Manager, for all the day to day work she does behind the ¥cenes,

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
The Georgia Fourie Butterfly Fund is proud lo present the end of y8ar report detailing our activities,
fundraising efforts and how we have allocated our funds this year. This year ha5 been incredibly succe55ful
thanks lo the support from our board of trusle8s, Holly Grove staff, parents, volunloers, donors and the
community. We have ex¢8eded our fundralsing goals for this year, allowing us lo make a significant impacl
on the lives of many children and families.

Full details of our fundraising activities and income is listed in the allached annual report
FINANCIAL REVIEW
FlnanGial posltion
In lkne year Iliere have been incoming resouTces of £56,756 and we have expended £49,415. which has left
trt8 ¢harily with a net surplus of £7.341 21 the year end.
There are total reserves of £36,548. of which £3.000 is r&slricled to spending on the Hdiday Club.
R•8or¥es policy
We need lo keep money In reserves to the upkeep of Our 7 sealer cars. We offer grants twice a year so we
need to be able lo fund this. We give a yearly donation lo Holly Grove School lo fund 5ehool Ifips and for
Christmas presents for the children. and the future events we have planned we need money to pay deposits
and buy resource5 for this. We are also funding our Merry Berrie$ after school dub so we need money in
reserves lo be able lo fund this each month until we are successful for a funding bid.
FUTURE PLANS
We are Incredibly gratefijl for the continued support we re¢eive from our communty, donors. staff, parents
and volunteers. Your contributions have allowed us to support numerous families and children and make a
meaninglul difference in their lives. We look forward lo anolhei suc¢essful year ahead and are excited about
our upcoming event and initiatives.
We continue lo value the importance of the residential vlsils for our puplls in both Lower school and Upper
school. We have commilled to raising £3000 10 cover the cost of these trips.
We will need £1000 for our emergency fund to provide support lo families faGing financial crisis.
We will provtde our 'Helping Hand. grant of £1500 to support parents with appropriate resourceslactivitEs
during limes of financial hardship.
We require £2200 to support the school fvnd which contribul8s to exlr&curricular activrties induding
educational visits.
With ever lighter budgets Withln school we would like lo provide £2000 towards Curriculum enhancement
days and experience8 gu¢h as music, drama Zoo Lab elc. to ensure our pupils access a broad, balanced
and exciting curriculum.
We need lo support Holly Grove School with Iheir extended services, previously run by Social Enterprise.
This will be a huge commitment with £30,000 woilh of funding being prop05e4. This is made up of £25,000
lo cover the running costs of Merry Berries forl 2 months and an additional £5,000 towards Holiday/Salurday
club provision lif possible). Thi$ will hopefully ensure much needed after and out of 5Ghool activities can
continue for our pupils.

ttrte wider communily. The current board of trustees was appoinl&d al an AGM held in October 2023.
Trustees are appointed for a period of three years after which they are eligible for re-appoinlmenl.
The Iruslees are r&spoTrsible for the chaTily's governance and 11$ use of fund5. The day lo day management
of the charity's affairs have been delegated to Katie Wood.
