Objectives and Activities

|---|---|---|
| Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document |
Para 1.17 | Club activities and membership are increasing – but not yet as quickly as we would wish. Nevertheless, there have been improvements in all aspects! |
| Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts. |
Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
There has been a successful season of rowing on the R. Blyth though access has been severely restricted due to construction work for the new Blyth energy central learning hub. We lost use of the boat store for the same reason. Skiff Bebside is in store in a harbour warehouse without regular access and is in need of repair. Skiff Crofton is stored outdoors in the Blyth Tall Ship compound and we are grateful for their support at this difficult time. Members rowed our Skiff Crofton on the annual Tweed Row. A recruiting campaign is proposed for early 2025. |
| Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit |

It is beginning to expand membership, finances, activities beneficial to Members and to the general public. There is reason to believe that the boat shed (promised to be completed by June 23) will be available soon. We have sole, unlimited access to the slipway. |
