Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed by a Trustee selection methods resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. (eg. appointed by, elected by) All trustees are life time trustees, subject to section 12 (1) and (2) of the Charity Constitution.

(2) In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO

Section C Objectives and activities

The objects of the charity are, for the public benefit: the objects and aims of the charity are by such means that are charitable to promote the faith of Islam by:

(i) The establishment of a mosque and educational centre in Dewsbury and its environs and their management; (ii) The propagation of Islam according to the Quran the Sunnah and hadith; Summary of the objects of the (iii) The establishment of madrassah for the religious education of charity set out in its men, women and children; governing document (iv) The establishment of a library of Islamic books at the centre; (v) The holding of religious festivals; (vi) The holding of sadaqa/zakat and its disbursement according to Shariah; (vii) Co-operation and liaison with other organisations pursuing similar aims and objects. (viii) To build bridges between people and communities of different ethical and religious backgrounds.

Charity Commission requires the trustees of a charity to:

•Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless there is a reason to believe that the Association will not continue for the foreseeable future.

The Trustees are responsible for the keeping of proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charity Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the association and hence to take reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The charity collects donations and offers classes in their madrassah. This has enabled the charity to propagate Islam which is part of their objective. The charity has also worked on extending their premises.
