In accordance
with government
guidelines
and in order to support the
wider population,
the building
has at various times been closed during
reporting
period.
Nevertheless,
ths Fellowship
remained
active and
the
supportive
through
these times with biblically based messages
of
encouragement
and news relayed to those who were able and wanted
to
both contribute
and receive them.
Following
the end ofthe first 'lockdown'
the decision was made to open
Bethel Chapel for Sunday
morning
worship
and Tuesday
morning
prayer.
Despite the pandemic
affecting the physical
life ofthe fellowship,
much
has been achieved over the past two years.
Following
the 2019AGM a proposal for the use and allocation
offunds
gifted to Bethel Chapel
by the previous
Pastor was drawn
up.
A 3 point proposal
covering
Tithing, Pastoral
Leadership
and Facilities
modernisation
was accepted as the vision, road map and action plan for
the fellowship as these 3 aligned
with the charity purpose.
A total off16,000was distributed
to the following
charities which
completed
the first ofthe 3 part plan:
Evangelical
Action Brazil, Mercy, Ships, MAF, Christian
Blind Mission,
Heal Project, Hope FM, Future
Pillars, Leprosy Mission and Ukraine
(Odessa )Project.
Whilst a number
of ideas relating to the modernisation
and improvement
ofthe building
and facilitiss have been discussed
it was the general
concensus that the appointment
of a Pastoral Leader should take
prescedent
so that their input might also be sought.
The exception to this was the updating
ofthe sound and recording
equipment
and acquiring
internet
connection.
Danny
Miller was appointed
Pastor and Leader in April 2021 and
inducted
on the 11"July 2021.
The Bethel Chapel
building
and facilities are being reviewed
with a view
to the provision
of modern
facilitiss to better serve the vision ofths
church
in the local community.
