## **Objectives and Activities**
The charity’s primary objective is to promote and provide access to wheelchair dance classes and wheelchair skills courses.
The weekly classes in Manchester were established in March 2016 following the set up of the charity and 2 amounts of funding to cover the training of the volunteer teachers and room hire for the first year of classes along with equipment needed to set up.
## **Update on the year**
Following the passing of our Co-Founder, Paula Moulton in 2023, given dwindling numbers and motivation, the difficult decision was taken to stop all social dance classes in June 2024.
Competitive classes already stopped in the prior year as there were no dancers competing.
This meant we had no active classes.
## **Financial Review**
As classes had stopped no funding was sought. The only expenditure is general overheads.
The charity has around £7000 in funds. Any restricted funds have been moved to unrestricted after consultation with any relevant funding sources.
## **Future plans**
It has been decided by the Trustees to establish a bursary scheme for UK competitive dancers to help fund their journey to international competition.
The bursary will include amounts towards travel/accommodation for which there is very little
funding. It will also include, if required, access to coaching from Gary Lyness, including any travel associated with that.
We will leave some residual funds in the charity to ensure that the website and other channels can remain open for the future.
