## **Trustees’ Annual Report for the period** **From: 1[st] April 2020 To: 31[st] March 2021** **Charity name: Strictly Wheels Foundation (working name: Strictly Wheels)** ## **Charity registration number: 1164805** ## **Objectives and Activities** The charity’s primary objective is to promote and provide access to wheelchair dance classes and wheelchair skills courses. The weekly classes in Manchester were established in March 2016 following the set up of the charity and 2 amounts of funding to cover the training of the volunteer teachers and room hire for the first year of classes along with equipment needed to set up. ## **Achievements and Performance** We stopped classes in March 2020 due to the Covid Pandemic so there is no overall performance to review for the year. Some private lessons were held but these were minimal and only partly funded. All local, national and international competitions were also suspended. The charity has remained static during this financial year. ## **Financial Review** Funding was received to go towards a custom wheelchair for one of our dancers which is also being part funded by the charity from retained resources for this purpose. There is very little movement in funds given there has been minimal expenditure on classes and other supplier overheads so the charity remains in a strong position as at the close of 2019. Funds continue to be retained and will be used for ongoing projects. Unrestricted funds will continue to be used to ensure that overheads are covered along with ongoing marketing and room hire as noted above. ## **Future plans** The charity aims to grow in the coming year and is re-aligning classes to concentrate on Ballroom & Latin tuition which is our core strength. We will continue to offer fortnightly open classes to attract new dancers. We will aim to fund external training to support the club’s volunteer teachers. ## **Trustees** Current Board of Trustees are: Rebecca Bentham Chair Gary Lyness Secretary & Treasurer Paula Moulton Caroline Gilmore Vacant It was agreed that in the absence of 5 Trustees that any decisions would have to be unanimous to be passed. ## **Structure, Governance and Management** The charity is a CIO with a Constitution document.
