## **Summary of the Main Activities Undertaken for the Public Benefit in Relation to the Charity's Objects**
The Charity has been focusing on core areas of Disaster Relief, Education, and Health.
## **The Lvea High School Computer Lab - Cambodia**
The Lvea High School Computer Lab Project aimed to enhance the educational environment at Lvea High School in Cambodia by establishing a fully-equipped computer laboratory. In partnership with Child’s Dream, the project addressed the lack of adequate facilities and equipment, which had hindered students’ ability to acquire essential digital skills.
An old classroom was renovated and outfitted with 31 new computers, a printer, an LCD projector, two air conditioning units, and furniture. Additionally, the school received training for teachers on effectively delivering the computer curriculum and maintaining the equipment. The objective was to provide students with the opportunity to acquire critical Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, essential for pursuing higher education and better employment opportunities.
The project was completed within budget and began in March 2023 and was finished by August 2023. To ensure sustainability, the school management established a maintenance fund, partially supported by student contributions and additional community funding. This initiative is expected to contribute to long-term educational improvements, fostering computer literacy among over 1,000 students at the school
## **Phnum Leab Primary School - Cambodia**
The Phnum Leab Primary School project aimed to create a safe and conducive learning environment for 652 students in Phnum Leab Lech Village, Cambodia. The previous school buildings were severely deteriorated, posing safety risks and limiting educational quality due to overcrowding and structural instability. To address this, a new concrete building with six fully furnished classrooms was constructed, along with six new toilets to enhance sanitation and reduce hygiene-related illnesses.
Implemented in partnership with Child’s Dream and Classroom of Hope, the project involved close collaboration with a local contractor and active participation from the community. Community members contributed to foundational work and organised the opening ceremony, fostering a sense of local ownership and development. The Cambodian government continues to support the school by providing teacher training, salaries, and educational materials.
With a budget covering construction materials, furniture, labour, and monitoring costs, construction began in November 2022 and was completed in May 2023. Maintenance responsibilities have been assigned to the school management and community to ensure long-term sustainability. This initiative successfully established a secure, supportive learning environment, empowering students to reach their full potential.
## **Tanjung 3 Junior High School - Indonesia**
The Tanjung 3 Junior High School project focused on improving educational facilities at SMPN 3 Tanjung in Indonesia. The existing infrastructure faced challenges with overcrowded classrooms and insufficient facilities, which impacted the quality of education. The project’s goal was to provide a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment for students.
In partnership with Child’s Dream and Classroom of Hope, the project involved constructing four new classrooms, each furnished with appropriate furniture, as well as building two new toilets and two sinks. Additionally, it focused on improving existing infrastructure to better accommodate the increasing number of students. This initiative effectively addressed critical issues related to sanitation, enhancing hygiene standards and reducing health risks for the students.
The project emphasised collaboration with local contractors and actively involved the community. Local participation in foundational work and project implementation fostered a sense of ownership and strengthened the community’s commitment to the school’s long-term sustainability.
The initiative also aligned with government support, as the Indonesian government provided teacher training, salaries, and educational resources, ensuring continuity in quality education delivery.
The project budget covered construction materials, furniture, and labour costs. Started in 2023 and completed in April 2024, the upgraded facilities significantly improved the learning environment, enabling students to thrive and access better educational opportunities. This partnership successfully uplifted the community by empowering youth through quality education.
## **Shree Rastriya Basic School - Nepal**
The Shree Rashtriya Basic School, located in Janakpur, Nepal, currently serves students from kindergarten to grade 5. However, the government recognized the need for the school to upgrade its facilities and curriculum to accommodate students up to grade 8. Unfortunately, the school has been unable to accept this proposal due to a critical limitation: insufficient classroom space.
The community surrounding this school is situated in the Terai region, a part of Nepal known for its challenging socioeconomic conditions. This area faces numerous hardships, and it meets several of the criteria that are often targeted by initiatives seeking to improve educational access and quality.
Addressing the need for more classrooms and infrastructure improvement in Shree Rashtriya Basic School could significantly impact the quality of education provided to the students and the broader community. By supporting this school's expansion, it becomes possible to empower marginalised communities, enhance access to quality education, and strengthen the foundations for a brighter future in this region.
In partnership with Kids of Kathmandu, construction of 3 classrooms, a library, computer lab, toilets, water-purification, and waste management system commenced in February 2023. The project also involves renovating the old school buildings.
## **Education & Housing Program - Nepal**
In collaboration with The Nepal Initiative and The Lighthouse Foundation, we helped fund a trauma counselling centre for rescued children. The Lighthouse Foundation, founded in 2009 as a non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organisation, is dedicated to providing support for Nepalese children who are destitute, socially excluded, or at risk due to abuse, violence, trafficking, and conflict.

**Respective** The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. **responsibilities of** The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year **trustees and examiner** under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Charities Act”) and that an independent examination is needed.
## It is my responsibility to:
- examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
- to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and
- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention
- **Basis of independent** My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given **examiner’s statement** by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
**Independent** In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my **examiner's statement** attention (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
