CHADDERTON TOGETHER SECRETARIES REPORT TO AGM OCTOBER 2024 Thanks to the considerable efforts of our management committee and the invaluable help from our volunteers the past twelve months has been very busy and successful year. We have temporarily paused our Tea Dances. We held a very successful Quiz Night at. St Herberts Community Hall. Our Christmas Grotto at Lydia's wa.s a smash hit with the families who enjoyed the events. Chadderton Day, with its fabulous entertainment, was a great success and provided us with an opportunity to promote Chadderton Together, Foxdenton Parl< and the restoration of Foxdenton Hall. Lydia's Tearoom continues to be a successful and much needed facility for Foxdenton Park. We were recently awarded, once again, a five-star food rating. Special tribute should be made to the tireless worl< and time given by the supervisors and volunteers who run Lydia's Tearoom on a day-to-day basis. Our Stage One application for funding, in order to restore Foxdenton Hall to bring it back into community use, is almost ready for submission to the Herilage Lottery Fund. Two surveyor's reports, commissioned for the Nile Mill Project, have been completed and we have received funding for this expenditure from the Architectural Heritage Fund. The New Chadderton Partnership continues to publish questionnaires, hold public consultations and specialist workshops in order to produce a Neighbourhood Plan for the whole of Chadderton. Our governance structure, training, EDI and other documentation is being upgraded as part of our commitment to the future. Graham Taylor October 2024
