The Circuit produces a quarterfy Preathing Plan to ensure regular acts of
worship take place at each cf the Methodist Churches and Local
Ecumenical Partnerships in its gecgraphical area. These are open to all
people, without charge.
The Minister in Other Appoinlment provides a Chaplaincy Service to the
Local Hosptce.
The Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on
public benefft.

Grant Making
The Circuit Model Trust Fund contains the funds Irom the Bale of chapels
antj manses and is restricted by the Methodist Conferencé. This
restriction is an intemal regulation though the fund can be usèd for a
variety of purposes. The Tru8te8s have drawn up a sel of ground rul6$ to
ensure that grants made from the Clrcuit Model Trust Fund are used
effeGtively for mission and capital work8.

The charrty benefits from renlal income (at market rates) on two man8es
not currently occupied by staff of the ¢harity. They may be required in the

2. Manse unoccupied but the leadership team do nol believe it is the
right time lo sell. as rental income is helping to cover é8ficil8.

Achievements and performance
The Circuit Leadership Team has observed the building of numerou8 new
homes within We51onvSuper-Msrg with interest over the last f•w years
and has started lo work on the new Mead Field8 E8tate. The Circuit
Meetirrfd is keen to proceed with this work as soon as possible, With
homes now being built signific8nt resources have been made available
for this woiect in conjunct'ion with an application (made with the adjoining
Circuit) for Connexional Funds.

The Circuit Leadership Team maintains links with other voluntary and
charitable organisations that share rts values in order to support those in
need in the local area and atfvance th8 Christian faith.
In conjunction with the Dislrict Safeguardlng Officer, the Circuit
Safeguarding team has IMp￿rne￿Ied a range of safeguarding training
and refresher training during ts year. A package of blended learning is
now available.

Financial review
The charrty maintains funds to cover 6 month's average expenéiture and
ongoing capital expenditure. In addition, a sum is held lo meet any
5 unforeseen major rtern of expenditure on manses, andlor to continue
planned activities in the event of the closure of a large Ghurch or an
inability to raise Ihe full Circuit Assessment from churGhe5.

charity's policy on reserves
The chanty has eamarked £120,000 for the Mead Fields woneer project,
It is necessary to hold sufficlent working caprtal to enable the payment of
minBterial slipends and business experKliture for 2 ministers, salary of a
CIr￿rt Administrator, and our contnbulion to the District.
The charity ha8 reviewed its commitment to its mini8ter8 and has sought
a replgcement minister in 2026. The next available date for significant
change to this expenditure is September 2028.
