The trusteeswhoare alsodirectorsof the charityforthe purposesof the CompaniesAct 2006,presenttheirreport with
thefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31March2021.Thetrusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisions of
AccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparing their
accountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS 102)
(effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The objectof the charity,as statedin its governingdocuments,is to relievepovertyor financialhardshipamong persons
who wholly or partly make their living working in the line dancingindustryand their dependantsby providingfinancial and
otherforms of supportincluding(butwithoutprejudiceto the generalityof the foregoing)assistingin the treatment and
careofsuchpersonswhoaresufferingfromillnessofanydescriptionorwhoareinneedofrehabilitationasa result of
such illness and who have fallen into poverty or financial hardship as a result of such illness.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Thestatementoffinancialactivitiesfortheyearissetoutonpage4ofthefinancialstatements.Asummaryof the
financial results and the work of the charity is set out below.
Duringtheperiodthecharityreceiveddonationsof£141,574,significantlyhigherthaninpreviousyearsdueto an
overwhelming response by the line dance community to the hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grants were made amountingto £291,579 and the trustees are once again pleased to have supporteda wide cross-section
of the dance community,particularlythose in need across the world due to the pandemic.A donationof £13,485 was also
made to the Australian bush fire appeal.
The overallresultfor the yearwas a deficitof £160,000.Thiswas due to a consciousdecisionby the trusteesto increase
support for those in need.
The charity has total funds of £31,383 at 31 March 2021. There are no designated funds at the year end (2020: £10,000).
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves policy
The charity has minimal operating costs and does not require any significant free reserves.
FUTURE PLANS
Trustees plan to continue to make grants to beneficiaries.

Governing document
Thecharityisconstitutedbyitsmemorandumandarticlesofassociationdated21August2014andregisteredwith the
Charity Commissioners under charity number 1164708.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Line Dance Foundation ('the Company')
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 March 2021.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity'strusteesof the Company(andalsoits directorsfor the purposesof companylaw) youare responsible for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe2006 Act
andareeligibleforindependentexamination,I reportinrespectof my examinationof yourcharity'saccountsas carried
outundersection145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').IncarryingoutmyexaminationIhavefollowed the
Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner's statement
Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by section 386 of the 2006 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or
4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).
I have no concernsand have come across no other matters in connectionwith the examinationto which attention should
be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102,have been
preparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicableto charitiespreparingtheir accountsin accordancewith the Financial Reporting
StandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS102)(effective1January2019)',Financial Reporting
Standard102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUK andRepublicofIreland'andthe Companies
Act 2006. The financialstatementshave been preparedunder the historicalcost convention,with the exception of
investments which are included at market value, as modified by the revaluation of certain assets.
Financial reporting standard 102 - reduced disclosure exemptions
Thecharitablecompanyhastakenadvantageofthefollowingdisclosureexemptionsinpreparingthese financial
statements,aspermittedbyFRS102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublic of
Ireland':
the requirements of Section 7 Statement of Cash Flows.
Income
All income is recognisedin the Statementof FinancialActivitiesonce the charityhas entitlementto the funds,it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itis probablethata transferofeconomicbenefitswillbe requiredinsettlement and
the amountof the obligationcan be measuredreliably.Expenditureis accountedfor on an accrualsbasisand has
beenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateallcostrelatedtothecategory.Wherecostscannotbe directly
attributedtoparticularheadingstheyhavebeenallocatedtoactivitiesonabasisconsistentwiththeuse of
resources.
Grantsofferedsubjecttoconditionswhichhavenotbeenmetattheyearenddatearenotedasa commitment
but not accrued as expenditure.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restrictedfundscan onlybe used for particularrestrictedpurposeswithinthe objectsof the charity. Restrictions
arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
