No More Durty Water Annual Report for year ending December 2020

Meeting Held February 12[th ] 2022 (remotely).

Trustee Attendees

Michele Roux. Treasurer Anthony Spence. Chairman Jonathan Walker. Trustee

Once again the charity was seriously effected by the continuing Covid pandemic and it’s aftermath.

No More Durty Water had decided that it would again not hold events whilst the virus continued to be prevalent.

Again due to lack of activity, lockdown and continuing infection rates the Trustees met quarterly online which was adequate to maintain the charity’s running.

Our fund raising was almost non-existent with some small amounts from records left from other events. However we were fortunate to be donated the cost of a spring by one individuals kindness.

Again it was still possible to fund water projects from monies on account and we did have continuing success with Watercause Africa.

Through this partnership we did fund ten protected springs projects in various locations in Uganda which considering the ongoing situation was hugh achievement due to the management of our local contact Godfrey Zaake.

His drive and commitment allowed him to co-ordinate building and labour resources in remote areas taking into account the covid restrictions.

Watercause has continued to be a reliable and cost-effective working partner and the trustees plan to work with Watercause Africa projects in future.

The charity still has funds to continue our work going into 2022 and we will be looking to recruit new volunteers and Trustees to drive our fund raising and community awareness

thanks to all our donors and everyone involved with Watercause Africa for the successful outcomes achieved in the ongoing difficult circumstances in 2021.

N.B.

The finance figures do not show the cost of the ten 2021 spring projects, £6,879.18 as this money wasn’t drawn down from the bank till 2022.
