SUMMARY OF THE klAIM ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN FOR THE PUBUC BENEFrr IN RELATION TO THE OWECTS
OPEN DAYS.. The Museum 1$ open on the second Saturday ofthè mcmth beknn Maith and October. Two hentage bus rides
are operated by a member of the Heritage Fleet on tsvo of the three estsblisw heritage ioutes. offering visitors up to 28 miles
of heritage bus rides.
RUNNING DAYS.. Two Running Days are hekl during the year approximatdy srx months apart.
The Spring Heritage RunnÈng Day is the lar9er evenl. and the Herrtage Fleet are ￿"ned ty a numbei of gu8sI vehiC￿S
operating a frequent headway on three heritagè rothe5 ah)ng seth.ons of Delaine services to the north, south and west of
Boume. The 1&15 mile r￿jnd In"ps are eath Com5￿ete{l in apwoximatety 35 Minutes offering visrtors plenty of varièty during
the day.
The Autumn Mini Heritage & Tmlight Running Day ub"lises the Hefitage F￿t operate from mh*day until early èvening,
enabling visitors to èxperierKe the bjngsten I￿h￿'n9 of yesleryear in the twilight hours.
GROUP VISITS." Are available on selècted we&day elen￿98 or on Saturdays belween March and October. School visits are
available on selected weekday momings.
OTHER EVENTS.. Mèmbern of the Herrtage Fleet attended 8 nuThthr of events orgarised by various Ch8fTtable Groups and
Preservation Soaety's and participate(l in operating bjs ndè$ at events ¥the￿ were ￿ng offerèd.
The trustees have paJ"d due regard to gUKla￿e ISSL￿d by Charity Commission in deciding what aCt￿rtIeS Ihe charty shoukl
undertake.
SUMMARY OF THE MAIN ACHIP4EMENTS OF THE CTrIARITY DURING THE YEAR
The invaluable work (arr￿￿ out by Ouf vdunteers ensured the Museum was mainlained and the Heritage Fleet kept in a
servicèable condition to enable the smooth delNery of c¥Jr Open Days. Running Day5 and othef events.
Cataloguing and storage of documents ¥￿in the ArthNe to Intemaional Archival Stsndards conb"nuè$ to progress and w8
continue to liaise with the UK Bus ArchNe from b.me to time.
Our continued policy of prrNYk)ting the Musèum as an ideal venue to meel up famity or like-mindÈd fn.ends has proved
popular with local families with younger children and seniors. The vi8itors b￿)k reflects we also conb.nue lo attract visitors from
various parts of the county. The addition of the forrr￿r Boume Cbjb children's opeTrtop Delainè bus lo our collect￿)n as
static exhibit has proved a popular attrac￿ ft)r faml*s.
The Spft'ng arKI Alrturnn Runn￿9 Days were bolh well attended.
Schoolchildren from several Iwl primary sch(*As benefrtted from a ￿51t to the Musèum. vthich induded a presentatv)n, Q&As.
guided tour and a free bus rTrd•.
The Merchandise Stall and Snack Bar conknue to provKle the Trust ￿ valuable supWe[￿ry incomè.
The Tnjst continues to be a membw of the 'Na"on81 AS￿latiOn of Road Transp)rt Mu5eums', ¥thich reprèsents members
interests to Govemment Department5. Agencies and Regulators. As a member. thè Trust benefits from useful adv￿* on

statutory guid8rKe, best practise, polKies aThJ and has access to a foNm to exchange ideas and share
experier¢es with other organisalions wrfh similai alr￿.
The Tiust 8150 continues io be a member of Lgyland SOW. who can provlle detailed inform*"on reL81ing lo Leyland
vehic￿5 from Iheir extensive archNe and assist in soutcing repl￿VrEnt parts.
The Iwsl h85 also built a good ￿kalIc￿ShIp th LeKester Transport HerTtage Trust and Leicester Museums Technology
