SUMMARY OF THE MAIN ACTMTIES UNDERTAKEN FOR ThE PUBUC BENERT IN RELATION TO THE 0￿EcT$
OPEN DAYS.. The Museum is open on the secoThJ Saturday of the mC￿th between March and October. Two henlage bus rides
are operated by a member of the Herime Fleet on two ofthe three estsblished h¢rrtage T￿leS. offering visitors up lo 28 miles
of heritage bus rides.
RUNNING DAYS.. Two Running Days are held during thè year approximately six mondts apart.
The Spnng Heritage Running Day is the largef event, and the Heritage F￿￿t are joined by a number of guest vehicle5
operating a frequent hea¢fvMy on three heritage routes akng sections of Delaine serv￿& lo the north, south and we51 of
Boume. Th9 1>15 mile round trips are ea0* completed in approximatety 35 minutes offering visitors plenty of varièty during
the day.
The Autumn Mini Heritage & Tvrilight Running Day ulilL￿$ Ihtr Heritage Fleet which operate from mi&day until earfy evening.
enabling visitors to experience the tungsten lightsng of yesteryear irt Ihe ￿lIght hours.
GROUP VISITS.. Are available on $48¢ted weekday evenings or on Satsjrdays bew M8r¢h and October. S¢fv)ol vi8its are
available on selected weekday momings.
OTHER EVENTS.. Members of the Heritage Fleet atten¢Jèd a number of events organised by various Chaitable Groups and
Preservation Society's and parbapat8d in operating nt1•s al events vthere they were being offered.
The trustees have paid due regard to guKlance i&wed by the Charity Commission in dw.ding what acbvibes the charity should
undertake.
SUMMARY OF THE PAAIN ACHIEVEMEln OF THE CHARITY DURING THE YEAR
The invaluable work carried OLrt by tyjr volunteers ensured the Museum was maintained and the Heritap Fleet kept in
$6rvt¢eable cDndthon to en8ble the smooth dolrvery of our Open Days, Running Days and othèr events.
The Trust welcThned thé donation from Boume ￿On$ Club of 1978 built children's self-wopelled open-top bus followng
their decision to wthdraw it al the end of t￿"r operating season in Odober. The vehide has operaled in Delaine livery for most
of its 4&yearworking lrfe, gNing ndes to chiklren 8t kx* fetes and lay￿5.
Cataloguing and storage of documents wilhin th$ Archrve to Intèm8liwJ ArchNal Standth$ ¢ontinue5 to progress aThJ we
continue lo liaise with the UK Bus Archive from b.me lo time.
Our continued poly of promoting the Museum as an ideal venue kn meet up with family or lik&miThJed fri&nds has p￿Ved
poputai with bcal famil￿$ with younger childrer7 and Sen￿)1$. Thè ¥isilorB book refflects w¥ also continue to atlract vi$rt¢Ms from
various parts of the country.
The Spring and Aut¢Jmn Running Days were L¥>th well altended and the revised fom)at ad¢*pted for the Autumn went to
include all members of the herrtage fieet during Ihe eartylmi¢*aftemwi period proved Fy¥)uL4r.
Schoolchildren from several Ioc81 primary schcM)l$ benefftted from a visit to the Museum, which induded a preS•nta￿n, Q&As,
guided tour arxl a free bus ride.
The Merchandise Stall and Snack Bar continuo to provhje the Trust with valuable supplementary income.

The Trust o￿tInueS to be a member of the 'Nalional As￿la1￿ of Roail Tran5KK)rt Museums.. vthich represents members
interests to Government Oepartrnents, Agenoes and Re9uLators. As a member, the Trust benefits from useful advice on
stslulory guidance, best practise, policAes and procedures. atNI has acc8s$ to a ftyum to exchange ideas and share
experiences wth other organisattons with &milar aims.
The Trust also continues to be a member of The Leyland Souety, vtho ¢an fftKl¢ detsiled informalion relating to Leyland
Veh￿leS from their extensive archNe and a￿st in sourung replacement parts.
