provided essential support to the charity’s
activities, including street patrols, outreach,
training, and administrative tasks. Their
commitment was crucial to delivering our
services effectively and furthering our

to send out teams of 3 or more on almost
every Saturday night in Canterbury from
around 10pm until usually 4pm Sunday
morning.
During the year, we continued to support
vulnerable people in the community.
Teams helped individuals get home safely,
including those affected by alcohol or other
challenges. First aid was applied when
needed, and emergency services were
contacted on occasions. Volunteers
signposted people to additional support for
issues such as homelessness, mental
health challenges, and addiction.
Street Pastors provided a calming
presence in tense situations and
accompanied women and girls to places of
safety when requested. Broken glass and
cans were removed to prevent injuries, and
flip flops and water were distributed to
those in need. Teams also engaged with
rough sleepers, providing water, snacks,
insulating blankets, and waterproof
ponchos where possible.
Positive relationships were maintained with
the police, night staff, pubs, and clubs, with
requests for support from Street Pastor
teams continuing throughout the night-time
economy. Volunteers offered a listening ear
and, when asked, shared how their
