## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Canterbury Street Pastors have been able<br>to send out teams of 3 people on almost<br>every Saturday night in Canterbury from<br>10pm until usually 4pm Sunday morning.<br> <br>Vulnerable people have been helped: -<br>To get home safely (sometimes when they<br>have become intoxicated with alcohol,<br>etc) Teams have applied first aid and on<br>occasions called for the help of the<br>emergency services. We have signposted<br>individuals to further help and support in<br>response to homelessness, mental health<br>challenges and addiction. <br>Canterbury Street Pastors have been able<br>to be a calming presence in situations of<br>tension as well as accompany girls and<br>women to places of safety when they have<br>expressed feeling vulnerable.  Broken<br>glass/cans have been removed from the<br>street to prevent people injuring<br>themselves. Flip flops have been<br>distributed to prevent injury to bare feet and<br>water to those in need.<br>Teams have engaged with rough sleepers<br>and helped where possible, providing<br>water, a snack, insulating space blankets<br>and waterproof ponchos.<br>Positive relationships have been continued<br>up with the police, night staff, pubs, clubs,<br>etc. Relationships are such that others in<br>the night-time economy request help from<br>Street Pastor teams to support individuals<br>who become vulnerable.<br>Teams lends a listening ear, and when<br>asked, will speak about how faith motivates<br>them to help in these ways.|
