The chorus works hard to Improve In all aspects of a capella singing We recewe coaching Irom some of Ihe
best In the art of bafbefshop singing, sharing wlh us their knovAedge an¢Y experience. We enler competitions
lo gtve a focus lor our Improvement work which In lurn mean5 that we are In a better posilion lo present the
best of a capella singing to the public through our cor￿rtS
On 1 December 2023 we pul on a concert al, and for the benefit of. Windlehursl Melhodisl Church, High Lane.
AII Proceeds were for Ihe benefit of Ihe Church, a registered charity. Later Ihal month we pul on a Christmas
concert al Sl Paul's Church, Compslall, Stockport which Wds very well attended.
In May 2024, chorus look part In the Sweet Adelines International Region 31 (Quartet of Nations) annual
convention held al The Octagon Theatre. Sheffield and won the silver medal Competition Is recognised as a
primary educational tool and performance opportunity. As preparalKsn for competition the chorus Involves
coaches lorm across the world lo Improve Its barbershop St￿e. Ils emotional depth of 51nging, artistry and
musicality During the year the chorus was fortunate lo have coaching sessions wilh 2 Swedish coaches and 1
Canadian coach all wlh oulstanding Inlernalional reputat￿ns.

I report lo the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Ihe above
charity {"the Trust") for the year ended 30 September 2024.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trusl. you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordan￿ with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 {"the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination. I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(51(bl of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause lo believe that in, any material respect-
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of
the Act or

The principal accounting policies adopted, judgements and key sources of eslimalion uncertainty
in the preparation of the financial slalemenls are as follows..
Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared in aCCordar￿e wth A￿OUntIng and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounls in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
IFRS1021 leffeclive 1 January 20221- Icharilies SORP IFRS10211 and the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK arKI Republic of Ireland IFRS1021.
Legal status of Gharity
The charity is an unincorporated entity registered in November 2015.

The Iruslees consider that there are no malerial uncertainties about Ihe charitys ability lo continue
as a going concern.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds are available lo spend on activities that lurther any of the purposes of ttte charity.
Designated funds are unreslricled funds of the charity which Ihe Iruslees have decided al their
discretion to sel aside for a specrfic purpose.
Restrided funds are funds of the charity re51ricled for specific purposes. They are held on trust
unlil expended.
Details of designated and restricted funds are set out in the notes to the financial stslemenls
Income and expenditure r8cognilion
Income is recognised when the charity receives funds.
Expendilufe is recognised when the charity expends funds.
Where Income has related expenditure. the income and relaled expenditure are reported gross in
the feceipls and payments account.

Restricled funds
The purpose of the Kind Heart Fund is lo provide financial assistance lo members who are having
difficuliy in financing specific chorus aclivilies. The fund is held in a separate bank account 2nd
C8nnol be used for any other purpose.
Details of the Lotto fund are shown in note 4 above.11 has been decided not lo continue this
fundraiser after 31 Deeernber 2024.
The National Lottery grant was awarded as a contribution lowards new costumes. During the penod
new dresses were purchased and the grant ulilised in full.
