ACCOUNTING POLICIES Basis of Preparing the Financial Statements These financial statements of the charity, which is a public, benefit entity under FRS 102 have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FSR 102) Accounting and Reporbng by the Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FSR 102)(effective 1st January 2015) and Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. Charitable Activlties Charitable expenditure comprise those costs incurred by the chanty in undertaking activities and projects that further its charitable aims for the benefit of its beneficiaries. Tanglble Fixed Assets Depreciation is provided at the folloing annual rates in order to write off each asset, over its estimated useful lrfe: Computer Equipment Motor Vehicle Office Furnitu 250 on reducing balance 250/0 on reducing balance 25 % on reducing balance Stocks Stock is valued at the lower of Ihe fair value of goods donated and their replacement cost. The fair value of goods donated is assessed by the trustees when the goods are received. Taxation The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.

Para 1.17 8rKI 1.19 The charities general activlties in the financial year have been supported by the award of a National Lottery Funded Project- Awards for All Project lo support Women in Construction ané Groundwork Project to support unemployedldisadvantaged communities Into employment. The charity also participated in the Governments Kick-start scheme to support 18-24 years old into employment by providing paid placements. Tho Award5 For All - Women In Construction W8 set up a construction employment programme for wom@n, where they attended college courses, personal and employability d8v8lopment training, and woth experience with local construction companies. All wornen were welcom8d, bul there was a focus on attracting women from disadvantaged BAME communities, due to their under-representation in the industry. The project mada a differance lo the lives of women as presented an opportunity for them to gain skills and qualrfi¢ations in a high- income industy that is currently experiencing a ¢hroniG skill shortage. Women who benefited most are those from low-skilled, low-income groups. Many were single parents working 2-3 jobs lo provide for themselves and their families. The construction industry presents an opportunty for higher eamings, thus enhancing these women's finanaal ststus, social well-being, and work-life balance. We expected th8 programme to run initially for a year but wll continua to seek funds and partnerships to enable tls sustainabilty. To promote the project, we conducted out-reach work in local communities and one to one with local women -hold construction awareness workshops in asSible community venues create flyers for distribution in public places -participated in career and construGtion awareness events and made presenlations to women.s organisations, local Ghurches, and other organisations - made full use of social media platfoms. Kick-start Scheme The Kickstart Scherne provided funding lo create new jobs for 18- to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who were at risk of long- tell unemployment. The Company participated in this scheme and supported the young people to develop their employability skills.
