The principal activity of the WSO for
public benefit is the continuation of the
annual programme of orchestral concerts
at the Assembly Hall in Worthing. There
were seven concerts during the season
(October to May). In September, free
hour-long concerts were given, for
schools, and as a taster for local people.

had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity

employed administrator to coordinate
concert days, increase marketing and
provide other support services. This is
already having a significant and positive
impact.
Other The WSO's musicians are fully
professional and self-employed, and are
paid on a concert-by-concert basis.
Certain marketing and graphic design
activities are also paid on a similar
basis. The WSO has no premises.
