For the period ended 31 May 2023 

The trustees present their report and accounts for the period ended 31 May 2023. 

## **Objectives and activities** 

The objective of the charity is to relieve poverty in the long-term through the provision of education and/or training to underprivileged individuals in Bangladesh. 

The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty set out in Para 1.18 of the SORP for Charities (FRS 102) to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

No Activities have taken place 

## **Financial Review** 

There has been no fundraising activity during the period and hence there was no donations received. The charity aims to commence fundraising from the next year onwards. 

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The charity is a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales by the name of "The Golden Deer". It was registered on the 23 November 2015 and the registration number is 1164507. The charity is governed by its constitution, which sets out instructions for the trustees. New trustees are appointed on a majority voting basis. 

Trustees of the charity are Mr Tawhid Rahman (Chairperson) and Mr Md Anwarul Haque. Both trustees are responsible for the operation of the charity. 

This report was approved by the trustees on 14 March 2024 and signed on their behalf.

## **1. Accounting Policies:** 

## Basis of preparation 

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the ‘Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice (FRS 102)’ published in July 2014; and applicable United Kingdom law and accounting standards; and the Charities Act 2011. 

The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis.
