Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial RewrtÈng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 1021 (effective January 2019)". The charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102. The charity has tsken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for charities applying FRS 102 Update Bulletin 1 not lo prepare a Statement of Cash Flows. The financial statements are prepared in sterting. which is the functional currency of Ihe charity. MonetBry amounts in these financial statements are round to the nearest whole £. The financial statements have been prepared under the historitxl cost convenb'on, modified to include the revaluation of freehold properties and to include investment properties and certain financial instruments al fair value. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below. b Going concern Al the lime of appromng the financial statements, the trustees have a reasonable expeclalion thal the charity has adequ8te resources to continue in operational existence forthe foreseeable future. Thus the trustees conty.nue to adopt the going concern basis of accnting in preparing the financial statements. c Fund accounting Unrestricted funds are funds which are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general ObltiveS of the charity and which have not been designated for other purposes. Restricted fijnds are funds which are to be used in accordance bwth specific restrictions imposed bv donors or which have been raised by the charity for parbcular purposes. The cost of raising and 8dminislering such funds are charged against the spectfic fund.
