## **Report of the Trustees for the Year Ended 31 March 2021** 

The Trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2021. 

## **PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY** 

The principal activity of the charity in the year under review was supporting military patients and their families in any way needed, including supporting the day to day running of Fisher House, the home away from home on the site of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. 

The charity carried out no fundraising activities in the year under review, and the donations received were unsolicited donations given by individuals and companies. 

## **TRUSTEES** 

The Trustees during the year under review were: 

David Mackay (Chair) Andy Pemberton David Ritchie Mike Seabrook Peter Mayer Ru Watkins 

## **RESERVES** 

As the charity has no ongoing commitments or liabilities, the Trustees have decided that they do not need to set a minimum level of reserves. 

## **PUBLIC BENEFIT** 

The Trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission in exercising their powers or duties. 

This report has been prepared in accordance with the guidance "Charity Reporting and Accounting: the essentials" published by the Charity Commission for England & Wales.

## **1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES** 

The financial statements have been prepared using cash-based (receipts & payments) accounting practice. 

Cash-based accounts are not prepared on an accrual basis and therefore the Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice does not apply to these accounts. 

The Trustees consider there are no material uncertainties about the Charity's ability to continue as a going concern. There are no material uncertainties affecting the current year's accounts.
