Instead we have agrccd a licence to Ctsntinue using th¢ Age Q>ncern logo. W¢ also have good relations with AgeUK Hammersmith and Fulham and Ag¢UK Hounslow. Pankaj Paiel wa5 ¢l¢¢l¢d a5 Vi¢¢-ChJir In February 2024, after many years of servi¢¢. Swa loannides steppeil down os Secretary. Sara had also eIT￿tiVelY been our Operations Manoger. The committee agreed to employ Liz Combes as a part time Operaiions m￿ager and David Love8rove agreed to acL as Secretary until a replacement could be found. Steps wcre tsken to improve the promotion and pricing of the hire of our pr¢mises with the aim of incre&8ing our revenue. '.Activities and Events We held our usual programtne of activities and evenis which ineludcd a Coronation Tea and a christm￿ Lunch and Tea. A team of volunt¢eT5 from IM(ilfndcavour ran the former. A I'ea Dance was held sn Octobcr a5 part of the Hounslow Oldcr People's Fe%tiva] and was aitend¢d by 10 non-Tnembers. A¢tivitics in¢lud¢d line dan¢ing, chair yoga and keep fit. Regular outings were org￿lsed. Chiropody sessitsns forour members were also availablc. At thr time of the AGM there were 155 paid-tsp members. ' Financial Overview Our financial positloll 15 hea]thy. A smaller surplus was gen¢ratrd for the year 2023.24 compared to the previous . ycar.-Ihis was mostly due to expenses related io keepin8 our premises in good condition dnd complying with . vsrious regulations. A View of the Future Our aim is tQ sl¢adily iner&9se and improve the services offered to ollr members. This 18 largely depettd￿t ot) recruitin8 more volunt￿r$ to 5UPPOrt OUT opEration5 and to undertake SP￿lf1¢ development role5. Responsibilities and Basls of Report As the Trustees of the Charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I ￿port in respect of my examination of the Trustee's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of th¢ 2011 Act. They have been prepared to comply with the Statement of Recommended Practice.. "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" (applicable to charities preparing accounts in accordance with the the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Rcpublic of Ireland (FRS 102), Financial Reporting Standard 102 and relevant charities legislation. The charity has taken advantage of exemptions available to small entities in the SORP and FRS 102. The Gharity is a Charilable Incorporated Organisation which was formed to take over the assets, liabilities and activities of an unincorporated charity of the same name. In accordance with Section 27 of the SORP, the accounts have been prepared on the basis that th¢ incorporated and unincorporated charities hav¢ always been part of the same reporting charity. Tangible Fixed Assets Fixed assets are depreciated at variable rates to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives on a straight line basis. Freehold propcrty is not depreciated on the grounds that the high residual value of the property and the very long eslimalcd useful life would render any depreciation charge immaterial.
