The complete renovation of 3
classrooms at Mwanzo Mgumu primary
school has transformed the learning
environment for the children attending
the school. Prior to the work, the
classrooms were in a poor state of
repair and potentially unsafe.

The kitchen garden established at
Mwanzo Mgumu primary school has
provided a source of food for the
school, a source of income when selling
excess produce and life skills for some
of the children.

The continued provision of menstrual
hygiene workshops has encouraged
girls to continue school attendance
uninterrupted and has provided locally
produced washable sanitary towels.
•
Provision of text books and uniform to
50 children from lower income families
in order that they can attend school – it
is likely these children would not have
attended school without this assistance.

The Kisaware orphanage is in a poor
state of repair and work was
undertaken to improve conditions for
the disadvantaged residents.
•
The 2 groups from the UK undertook
various structured activities in local
schools and the orphanage to help
broaden the children’s experience and
encourage alternative teaching
methods where appropriate.|

As the charty trustees of the trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Art 20111.the Act'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trusts Accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in tarrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 14515)b of the Art.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any respect:
l. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the trust as requlred by sertion 130 of the
Art.. or
2. The accounts do not accord with those records.
I have looked through the accounts. checking all statements, payment receipts and all other material
proof of how the accounts are kept.
I have seen coples of trustee's mlnutes from any meetlng that had occurred durin8 the levant
period.
I have seen proof of past and present projects and have seen proof of where and how the funds are
bein8 spent.
I have no cOnrn5 and have come across no other matters in connertion with the examination to
