Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	 Two classrooms and an office renovated at Chanzige ‘B’ Primary School, providing a much improved learning environment for students, and improved preparation space for teachers and staff. These buildings were previously out of use as potentially unsafe and open to the elements.  One classroom renovated at Chanzige ‘A’ Primary School, benefits as above.  Provision of desks for students at Vigama Primary School – prior to this, work was done by students sitting on the floor.  Provision of a kitchen garden seedlings and equipment at Ngobedi Primary School, encouraging students to become involved in small scale crop cultivation for consumption and sale for profit to benefit the school  Significant quantity of high quality sports kit donated by Charterhouse School, UK shipped and delivered to primary schools in the district. This has encouraged more students to become involved in sporting activities.  Mentrual hygiene workshops delivered locally with the aim to encourage girls to attend school without any break – this is common when they have their monthly period. Materials and instruction provided for the manufacture of washable sanitary towels.  UK volunteer group visit to the district with various activities undertaken in schools to help broaden the experience for students and encourage alternative teaching methods with the school staff.

I report to the trustee on my emaminatlon of the accounts of Champlon Chanzi8e for the year I" April 2022 to 31" March 2023 Responslbllltles and basls of the report. As the charity trustees of the trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Acy). I report in respect of my examination of the Trusts Accounts carried out under sertion 145 of the 2011 Act and in carryin8 Out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5)b of the Act. Independent examlnerfs statement. I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination givin8 me cause to believe that in any respect: l. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. The accounts do not accord with those records. I have looked through the accounts, checking all statements, payment receipts and all other material proof of how the accounts are kept. I have seen copies of trustee's minutes from any meeting that had occurred during the relevant period. I have seen proof of past and present projects and have seen proof of where and how the funds are bein8 spent.
