As treasurer I would first like to thank every one that has worked so hard giving their time to make the Ise of Wight learning zone such a success this year . We have significantly increased our income over the last year , mostly due to grant income and I think all of those responsible for working together to help that happen and provide the projects that have been possible because of those grants .
We started the year with £8249.47 in the bank account , with a petty cash total of £262.96 in addition to this.
We have had an income of £33050.25 over the course of the finical year and out of that we have spent £26005.62.
Our current bank held funds are at a total of £15557.06, of which we have allocated £6138.04 to outstanding commitments . We leaves unreserved funds of £9419.02.
Our income this year has come from , the household support fund, The Hampshire and isle of wight community fund , The nature sessions fund , membership , donations and contribution for sessions .
We have been very successful in providing a number of things for our community because of these incomes . We hope that next year we will be able to obtain even more to be able to support the home educating community on the isle of Wight .
Some of the projects we have run are , a funded trip to living well , bee well in Hampshire , a trip to parliament , nature sessions , herding cats home education camp , learn create earn , The Hub, and the projects run for the household support fund providing warm clothes and fruit and veg boxes for those in our community in need .
We hope for a successful year next year, with many more projects and benefits for the community .
