## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF AVON YOUTH CLUB**

I report on the accounts of the Charity (number 1164391) for the year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on pages 3-5.

The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43 (2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) as amended by section 28 of the Charities Act 2006) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to examine the accounts (under section 43 of the Act, as amended) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43 (7) (b) of the Act, as amended) and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. This includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts. During my examination no matter has come to my attention which gives reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that proper accounting records are kept.

## **Notes to the Accounts for year ended 31 March 2025**

The Club continues to go from strength to strength aided by long term commitments from our funders and the great work done in the year by our fund raising trustees, leading to a significant surplus for the year.

Engagement levels at the Club continue to be positive and we have now expanded the Club opening hours.

We remain thankful for the ongoing support and guidance provided by our partner Young Bristol.

We would like to thank all our funders and particularly the John James Charitable Trust, the Quartet Community Foundation, the Henry Smith Charity, the Masonic Charitable Trust and the Garfield Weston Foundation for their support during the year.

Also thanks to the ASDA foundation for their support for buidling renovations at the Club.

Many thanks to our amazing staff for their continued great work.
