Review
The Group has continued with the riding sessions for children from Spring Common Academy but difficulties with availability of teaching staff from there has meant the children have missed several sessions which has meant a lack of continuity in their progress over the year. We have still enjoyed seeing them gain in confidence with their riding and have fun with the activities organised by the coaches.
Two members of the Group are training to be coaches and we look forward to their contributions to the sessions for the children.
We have had several fund raising events during the year including a very successful garden party with an inspirational speaker, who rode with another local RDA Group an hopes to become a Paralympian in the future.
We very much appreciate the commitment of our volunteers in attending sessions and working with the children and also the work put in by committee members in organising the Group.
We are also grateful for the co-operation and support from the staff at Spring Common Academy.
