promotionofhealthcare,relief,advocacyandadvancementoftheChristianfaithinthesecountriesby all
charitable means as may seem appropriate by the Charity.

TheCharityisworkingintheshorttermtosupporttheworkofpartnersinIndiarunningschools, primary
healthandrelatedprojects.Criticalprojectssuchasfooddistribution,virtualandregularhealth centres
orclinicsandschoolsrunningonlineclassesforstudentshavebeensupportedbytheCharityduring the
year.Thecharitysawamarkedgrowthinfundingtowardsstrategicmulti-yearprojectsin education,
community health and women and child-centric relief and development activities.

priorityforthecharityasseveralprojectsoperateholistically,combiningeducation,healthand economic

Duringtheyearto30April2024GSFUKfundededucationforvulnerablegirlsatrisksbothatthe shelter
andacrossvariousGoodShepherdSchoolsacrossIndia.Thefoundationwaspleasedtofund priority
Bibleliteraturedistributionactivitiesforcommunitiesforyoungadultsandthesupplyof educational
resourcessuchasschoolbookstochildreninneed.ReliefworkintheStateofManipurwasalsofunded by
the Charity for many victims of the ongoing unrest in the State.
```

Also,duringtheyear,Dr.AlisonMalcolmwasabletoreviewtheprojectsfundedinIndia,notable[a] the
newfullyfunctionaltherapycentre:Thiscentrecaterstochildrenwithphysicaland developmental
challenges,offeringphysiotherapy,occupationaltherapy,speechtherapy,behaviouraltherapy, and
psychologicalservices,alongwithessentialequipmentand[b]ANewParamedicalTrainingCentre: The
facility includes a skills lab (complete with training dummies) and classrooms.

Currently,wehave61studentspursuingparamedicalstudies,andlastmonth,theGoodShepherd Clinic
providedoutpatientcareto3,248individualsacrossspecialtieslikepaediatrics, dermatology,
gynaecology,familymedicine,andphysiotherapy.Additionally,2,000patientsreceivedcare via
telehealthservices.Thisworkhasaprofoundimpactonthehealthandempowermentof many,
particularlywomenandchildren,whilemeetingourfoundationalgoalsto:Providematernaland childcare
facilities,establishacentralhubforphysiciansandsupportteams,anddevelopasustainablemodel for
vocational and professional healthcare training.

## **`Basis of preparing the financial statements`**

byCharities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheir accounts
inaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicof Ireland
(FRS102)(effective1January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'TheFinancial Reporting
