Organisatlonal structure
The Board currently consists of four In]stees and 18 responsible for k¢y policy decAsions and the effective
governance of the organisalion overaLL. Th¢ day to day running of tbc Ch￿7ty xs undertaken by the trustee, J G
Cotton. The Board meets thrct titllcs a year to diSC￿S the direction arLd progression of the charity, especially
proje£ts and how they are b¢nefitting the community. AJ] projects and events are OFgaThis¢d and lak¢n into th¢
community by voluntecrs who rcwrt back to J G Cotton as the trustee running the operation on a re￿laT basis.
Reeruitment and appointment of new boArd members
Trustees are appointed to r¢fl¢¢t the skills required to support thc Board 8nd its range of activities. The tr￿leeS
themselves apwinl llew tnstces to the Board eitbu tknugb volunteers or p￿pIt they have met wbile working in
the community. Suchrecruitment Is based on their individual skills and empathy for the subject the Board provideB

ACHIEVEMENfs AND PERFORMANCE
Sinc¢ its founding in Nov¢mb¢r 2015 Lh¢ clwity's aiTn was to raise a￿elless of dementia and sum)unding issues
and to build trusi and ¢redibility ￿thin the community. The ¢bariiy was verypro-active in tbese aims andprovided
information on the services. orgatii5ation& ￿0up5 and projects available to those suffering from ail stsges of the
condition.
FUTURE PLANS
It was the intelltion of the trustees to ¢lose th¢ ch8Tity due to a lack of funding but following a change in some of
the ttust¢¢ board, the decision bas IKcn iTrithdrawn and the CI￿lty will now continue to operate.
FINANCIAL RLVIEW
The attached Stalemellt of financial activities sbows how fi]nds w(¥c raisa and applied during the y¢ar.
During the YC￿ ended 3181March 2023 incomingresourcesamounted to £￿1 (2022: £1,552). Resources expend¢d
amounted to £1208 (2022: £2.561). Thr Det result for the year w&s a deficit of £607 (2022: £1.009).

It is the policy of the charity to maintain unrestricted fimds. wbicb are fre¢ reserves of the charity, at levels which
equate to atL excess of its projected nee<Ls for the forthcoming ycar, thereby providing suffici¢ttt funds to cov
manag¢m¢nL administration and sup1￿ costs and enable the ongoing development of projccts. The trustees
bclieve the net asset posiiion is suffi¢i¢nt to saiisfy such wuirements although these Eevels of fre r¢8erves are
reviewed on a regularbasis.
