| Summary | ofthe | main | ||
| achievements ofthe charity during the year |
Now in its eighth financial year, the team has stayed at the same number as last year, one full time and eight part time therapists. From 1" July 2022 until the 30" June 2023, 114 clients have been seen (12 primary |
| school age, 24 secondary school age, 72 aged over 18,4 couples and 2 |
| Parents & Infants). There has been an increase in the number of |
| individuals aged 18 and over using the service, as well as a slight |
| increase in couples being counselled, 1,436 counselling/therapy sessions |
| were provided over the year. |
| Out ofthe 122 clients using our service this year, 63 satisfactorily worked |
| through the issues that they wanted to and as a consequence have |
| ended their therapy. The referrals were all direct self-referrals from those |
| who either heard about the service through word of mouth or from an |
| internet search. | ||||
| The call on our bursary fund this year has been f20,124. |
| 22 individuals have received clinical supervision through the charity this |
| year. This has taken place either fortnightly, monthly, six weekly or |
| quarterly. The individuals make up trainee counsellors and qualified |
| counsellors (both for charities and in private practice) and professionals |
| who work in a charity setting with vulnerable children and adults. There |
| has been a slight reduction in the number ofpeople being supervised this |
| year, so that the Managing Director could free up time for management |
| duties. | ||||

| This year we have helped teach about suicide to counsellors via Zoom, |
| partnering with a counselling training company called Deep Release. We |
| also delivered a training day via Zoom for Spurgeons in Tunbridge Wells, |
| on working with self-injury. We are planning to work with Spurgeons |
| further next year. In addition to this, in June 2023, we began a |
| partnership with David Ridell Memorial CIO, and will deliver training to |
| secondary school staff on the subject ofsuicide. |
| Also this year our Art Therapist delivered a 5 week course on 'Restoring |
| Calm' to a group of adults, designed to help them cope with symptoms of |
| anxiety and depression. This was well received and the charity hopes to |
| run a similar course a ain next ear. |

Our sources of funds have come from client and supervisee fees, one-off donations, regular giving by individuals and a local church, grants and fundraising. |

The charity is very thankful for the donations from Collins and Sons and an investment company, as well as free work from a local graphic designer, which meant that 100% of the sales from our recipe calendar |

| suicide prevention training, teaching secondary school staff in the |
| academic year 2023-2024, which the charity is looking forward to. |
| There has been a change of bookkeeper this financial year, so that the |
| charity could receive further admin assistance than was being provided. |
| Prior to the changeover of bookkeeper, the charity's IT team set up |
| Teams to assist the bookkeeper and make the therapist logs easier to |
| manage. This has been a huge success. | ||||
| Due to the grants received which support the charity's finances, the |
| confidence the trustees have in the Managing Director and the |
| organisational structure which they have put in place, the trustees are |
| confident that the charity will continue to grow and thrive next year. |
