West Country Bullie Walks Trustees Annual Report

– April 2020 Mar 2021 Charity No 1164278

Aims and Objectives

To relieve the suffering and distress of Bull Terriers in UK rescues which are in need by reason of sickness, maltreatment or poor circumstances. To promote humane behaviour towards animals, specifically Bull Terriers, by providing appropriate care, treatment and security for animals, specifically Bull Terriers, which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to the welfare of animals, specifically Bull Terriers and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among Bull Terriers.

This year was a strange year due to the pandemic. We managed to get a few fundraising walks in when we were allowed. Our main fundraiser of the year the Bullie Bash was cancelled but we held a virtual one instead. We have some fantastic supporters in the West Country and further a field and raised over £4000. We held various other virtual events such as Virtual, book day, a Rainbow Walk and a virtual cruise.

Over the years we have built up a great reputation which helped the donations to continue to come in and with the sales of merchandise we still helped over 60 Bullies in many different rescues with their vets bills. Our members have also helped by fostering and adopting Bull Terriers, doing home checks, assessing dogs and helping with transporting Bull Terriers to their new homes

The charity continued to grow its membership through the year.
