The Trustees can report that the
initiative continues to have a
marked impact in the town centre.
The significant reduction in alcohol
related incidents has attributed to
the minimal anti-social behaviour
statistic whilst the teams are on
the streets. Additionally, the team
dealt with 26 alcohol, 1 drug and 1
health and mental health issues
during their patrols.
Supporting the community
included picking up 534 bottles, 65
glasses and sweeping up 46
smashed glass items thus
removing hazards. 103 Pairs of
flip-flops were handed out to
women seen walking bare foot,
thus reducing the risk of injury.
To support the safety and care of
vulnerable people the team also
helped 25 unwell clients to get
help, engaged with 1 ‘at risk’
young people and gave general
advice/pastoral care to 36
individuals and 53 rough sleepers.
We also accompanied 3 persons to
a place of safety.

The Trustees receive regular favourable comments from the police, local community leaders, town manager retailers and ward councillors. The initiative will continue to play its part in the night time economy of Weymouth and holds regular reviews and is in discussion with the local pub watch group and police. It is recognised that Street Pastors’ ministry makes a real difference in reducing anti-social behaviour by being a visible non-threatening presence on the streets of Weymouth. Collaboration between Weymouth Street Pastors and other statutory agencies and licensees continues to result in the town maintaining the purple flag accreditation for management of the night time economy. During 2021 a new initiative called ‘Safe Space’ was setup with assistance from the Council, paramedics and Security staff. They were based at St Marys church initially in the car park but then moved into St Marys Church. If any member of the public is unwell or needs basic medical assistance they can be dealt with without the need to call for an ambulance.

In accordance with the Constitution, the Committee Members retire by rotation and, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.
Political Contributions
The Organisation did not make any disclosable political donations in the current financial year.
Statement of Committee Members' Responsibilities
The Committee Members are responsible for preparing the Committee Members' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Organisation law requires the Committee Members to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the Committee Members have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law) including FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" Section 1A (Small Entities). Under Organisation law the Committee Members must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Organisation and of the surplus or deficit of the Organisation for that period.
In preparing these financial statements, the Committee Members are required to:

select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently;

make judgements and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Organisation will continue in business.
The Committee Members are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Organisation's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Organisation and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Organisation and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

In accordance with our engagement letter and in order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the financial statements of the Organisation for the financial year ended 31 December 2021 which comprise the Income and Expenditure Account, the Balance Sheet and notes from the Organisation's accounting records and from information and explanations you have given to us.
This report is made solely to the Committee Members of Weymouth Street Pastors, as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the financial statements of Weymouth Street Pastors and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the Committee Members of Weymouth Street Pastors, as a body, in this report in accordance with the guidance of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Weymouth Street Pastors and its Committee of Committee Members, as a body, for our work or for this report.
We have carried out this engagement in accordance with guidance issued by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and have complied with the ethical guidance laid down by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales relating to members undertaking the compilation of financial statements.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies' regime and in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A (Small Entities).
For the financial year ended 31 December 2021 the Organisation was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006.
The Committee Members confirm that the members have not required the Organisation to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the financial year in question in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The Committee Members acknowledge their responsibilities for ensuring that the Organisation keeps accounting records which comply with section 386 and for preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Organisation as at the end of the financial year and of its profit and loss for the financial year in accordance with the requirements of sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the Organisation.

1. General Information
Weymouth Street Pastors is a Organisation registered in the United Kingdom. The registered office of the organisation is 3 Waverley Road, Weymouth, Dorset, DT3 5EB, United Kingdom which is also the principal place of business of the Organisation. The financial statements have been presented in Pound Sterling (£) which is also the functional currency of the Organisation.
2. Summary of Significant Accounting Policies
The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered material in relation to the Organisation's financial statements.
Statement of compliance
The financial statements of the Organisation for the financial year ended 31 December 2021 have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A (Small Entities) and the Companies Act 2006.
Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis and in accordance with the historical cost convention except for certain properties and financial instruments that are measured at revalued amounts or fair values, as explained in the accounting policies below. Historical cost is generally based on the fair value of the consideration given in exchange for assets.
Income
Turnover comprises the invoice value of goods supplied by the Organisation, exclusive of trade discounts and value added tax.
Taxation
The Weymouth Street Pastors are a not-for-profit organisation, and as such their fundraising income and donations received are exempt from Corporation Tax. However, any future investment income and interest received will be inside the scope of Corporation Tax.
3. Capital commitments
The Organisation had no material capital commitments at the financial year-ended 31 December 2021.
4. Post-Balance Sheet Events
There have been no significant events affecting the Organisation since the financial year-end.
