**Objects:** THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES IN THE AREA COMPRISING WIMBLEDON AND DISTRICT WHICH AREA SHALL HEREINAFTER BE REFERRED TO AS "THE AREA OF BENEFIT" (I) TO STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT; (II) TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT; (III) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT, AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.

**Activities:** Working towards - preserving, protecting and improving features of historic and public interest in   Wimbledon and local area- protecting the natural beauty of the area - its wildlife, its woods and open spaces - promoting high standards of planning and architecture in the area - promoting and stimulating public interest in the study of local history and   architecture.
