Several new interest groups were formed during the year, thereby providing the members with a varied choice of activities to suit their needs and provide opportunities for learning new skills. The newsletter and website provide regular information for members and help to raise the profile of the u3a and provide a positive image of older people to the rest of society. |

Para 1.21 | We are in a secure position financially and so we have been able to keep Membership fees the same as last year. Our Printing costs have reduced as we have been able to purchase a Printer with a Grant from the Local Authority. Social Events are run for the benefit of Members. Whilst they are not loss making we do not make a profit. |

Responsibilities and basis of report
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/07/2023 DD / MM / YYYY .
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
