## **Trustees’ Annual Report for the period 1[st] April 2023 to 31[st] March 2024** ## **Charity name: Maidenhead Cycle Hub** ## **Charity registration number: 1164172** ## **Objectives and Activities** Our objectives: - Promoting safe and affordable cycling within our borough - Reuse and recycle bikes to protect our environment - Encourage cycling for better physical, mental and environmental health Key activities undertaken to support these objectives: - Refurbishing donated bikes, which are offered to local residents at cost-effective prices to lower the cost of owning a bike - Providing bicycle servicing to local residents so they are safer to ride - Providing a shop in Maidenhead town centre for the sale of bikes and accessories and provision of information about local cycling. - Organising and promoting organised rides for local residents to encourage them to cycle more and increase knowledge of local routes - Attending local events to promote cycling and offer corporate Dr Bike maintenance checks - All our bikes are donated by local residents or received as abandoned bikes from the police or rail stations. This reduces the number of unused bikes and minimises the number of bikes sent to landfill. We recognise the contribution made by volunteers in leading organised rides, staffing our shop and assisting in the workshop. Grant and donations| ## **Structure, Governance and Management** Maidenhead Cycle Hub is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The governing document is a Memorandum and Articles of Association incorporated 29th October 2015. The governing body of the charity is the Board of Trustees, members of whom are set out below. The appointment of a new trustee takes place after due consideration from both parties, to ensure a good strategic fit, and typically after the prospective trustee has supported MCH as a volunteer.
