Activities

Maidenhead Cycle Hub is a local charity, passionate about cycling and its benefits for individuals, communities and the environment. We aim to get more people cycling by expertly refurbishing donated bikes, saving them from landfill & selling them at affordable prices. We provide servicing & repairs, organised bike rides, maintenance classes, and give advice on local bike routes and safe cycling.

Objects: (1) To Provide Bicycles And Related Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For The Recreation Of The Inhabitants Of, And Visitors To, The Royal Borough Of Windsor And Maidenhead, Who Are In Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Disablement, Poverty Or Social Or Economic Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life.(2) The Promotion Of Community Participation In Healthy Recreation In The Royal Borough Of Windsor And Maidenhead, In Particular By The Provision Of Facilities For Cycling.(3) To Advance Education And Training Of Young Unemployed People By:(a) Providing Instruction In Basic Bicycle Maintenance To Enable Bicycle Owners To Maintain Their Own Bicycle;(b) Training Bicycle Mechanics Through Practical Learning Of Advanced Skills In Bicycle Maintenance;(c) Providing Voluntary Training And Voluntary Work Opportunities;(d) Providing Apprenticeships.(4) To Preserve And Protect The Natural Environment By Reconditioning Bicycles For Reuse, Recycling Of Used And Scrap Bicycles And Parts In Order To Reduce The Amount Of Waste Generated By Used Bicycles Going Direct To Landfill.
