The Trustees have pleasure in presenting their Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 July 2020 

## **ACTIVITIES** 

The Trust funds the research and study of religious and spiritual experience, and encourages the dissemination of information through lectures, newsletters and books. 

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW** 

During the year, a total deficit of £16,288 arose. The notes to the accounts include additional information on financial performance. 

The Trust is able to meet all its financial obligations.

## **NOTES TO ACCOUNTS** 

1.     The trade creditors balance is as follows: 

   - a) £2,270 for the balance owing on the donation for the RERC staff. 

   - b) £720 accountancy fee. 

   - c) £408 membership secretary fee. 

   - d) £300 honorarium 

2.     The provision of accommodation and some associated overheads by the UWTSD has not been charged and represents a significant saving on the cost that otherwise would have been incurred by the organisation. 

3.     No donations in excess of £1,000 were received during the year. 

4.     A donation of £15,470 was made to the UWTSD, in support of the RERC library staff. 

The following honoraria were paid during the year: 

a) £300 to Ms Patricia Murphy. 

b)  £600 to Mrs Jean Matthews. 

c) £300 to Rhonda Riachi 

The balance of £7,907 relates to the sponsership of PHD at Warwick University being the fees, plus £4,000 maintenance, plus expenses.

## **NOTES TO ACCOUNTS** 

5.     The following professional fees were paid: 

i)   £1,311 to Rankin Associates 

ii)  £1,482 to Margaret West. 

The payment to Rankin Associates coveres administration, contact with membership (in conjunction with membership secretary), events and other queries about the AHT, dealing with any printing (e.g. AGM papers), working within the AHT - arranging events and liasing between the people involved, drawing up and getting publicity material printed and disseminated, postage costs, publicising the AHT and its events by email and through attendance at conferences, speaking about the work of the AHT for like-minded organisations. 

6.    During the year, investment income of £10,044 was received from Walker Crips. 

The portfolio was valued at £303,195 at the year end which represented a decrease of £20,567 for the year. 

7.    The debtors figure relates to gift aid.
