Our Sunday services are in Church and live on Zoom each week.
Services were conducted by our ministei. until May when l)c relii'ed, including Ash Wednesday,
Maundy Thiirsday and a wonderful Easter day celebration.
Scrvices from May onwards were led by a variety of preachers including members of our
congi'eghtion, enhancing our worship with their different approaches.
Until May our Bible studies on Zoom were Sed by our ministcr. One of the Elders led a sthdy
written in English and Farsi encouraging our >arsi speakcrs to lak¢ part with one lo interpret.
We wcre thrillcd Éo i'eceive two new Incinbers into Ineinbership through baptism by total
immersion. There was also an infant baptism.
At the AGM we were delighted that two new Elders were elected. They were ordained by Rev
George Watt, Moderator of the Thames North Synod of thc URC the following month.
Rev Joshua Kane, Baptist Regional minister and minister of a local church, agreed to be our Interim
Moderrator. Thc Elders have had several helpful meeling5 With him as we work through the
process to find a new minister.
After several months of consultation the North London Alliance Church (NLAC) slarled worship in
the building and socialising with us after our services.
Pastoral and SociRI
The Elders keep in touch with members and friends, visiting where appropriate.
There was a special service attended by i'epi'esentdtives of the wider church to thank Rev Paul
Marlin atTrd his wife Sally for their friendship and contribution to our church and the wider
cominunity. He had been the convonor of Chlirches Together in Finchley (CTIF) as well as
pi'omoting a ￿'0uP for local ministers.
The following week a tea was served followed by entertainment performed by members and
friends.
A leaflet'welcome to Trinity" was produced English and Farsi, reflecting the number of Farsi
speakers attending church.
We continue Ihe Games afternoons which now takc place twice a month as the NLAC lake
i'esponsibility for one. We cnjoy socialising together. This is open to anyone and AgeUK Barnet
recommend people to us. Dui'ing August we operatc once a week to provide somewhere to wme for
Ihose whose regular place is closed over the suinmer.
Several meinbers offered 'Afternoon tea, in their hoines which was very successful and much
appreciated
A defibrillator was purchased and thr￿ people have been trained in its operation- the machine
gLiides people as to its Llse.
Two Eldei's allended Safeguarding training relating to Refugees and Asylum seekers
Our Saf¢guarding Policy was i'tviewed.
Ecumenical
W¢ conlinue our strong links with Churches Together in Finchley{cfiF). We hosted thc CTIF
Lenten studies, and took part in united activities organised by it- Good Friday, Penlecost and
Advent. Represenlalives attend CTif, North London Local Area Group of URC churches and
regional Ineetings of Baplists and United Reforilled Church.
We continue our tics to St Margaret's URC Finchley sharing services over Christmas. Their
minister is a regular preacher at Trinity.

Volunleers from Trinity help organise the CTIF 'Warm Space, initiative held at St Margaret's URC.
This runs weekly from October to Eastcr. We are pleased that the number of regular attendees
continiied to increase from last year.
Mission and Evan
elism.
Regular worship and Bible studies give opportunities to introduce peoplc to Christianity and deepen
knowledgc of those already Christians. Junior chU￿h leaders leach children while adults meet in
church. A local primary school requestcd use of the church for their Christmas event and for
someone to tell a Christmas story. Usually the minister has done this- in 2023 the church secretary
arranged this.
Wc support Pathway in their work of introducing children to Éhe faith Élirough taking assemblies and
leaching in schools, by providing an office for fr¢e.
Oui. Harvest gifts went lo Finchley Food Bank and we collect for ihem each week.
Reduced rents are offered to recognised charities. Gifts of socks and underwear for Refugee
children and young people were gifted via New Citizens Gateway (formerly Barnet Refugee
services)
We were disappointed to hear that Traidcraft had ceased trading after providing fairly traded goods
for 30 years. Some signs of renewal allowed us to off¢i' fairly traded goods at Chrislmas.
We put on record our thanks and gratitude to Rev Paul Martin for his friendship, guidance, pastoral
cal'e and his work in ihe local and wider church as well a5 in our local commiinity.
The church manse has been lel on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy during the ministerial vacancy
The Elder5 have worked hard to support the congregation and members during this period without a
minister- socially and spiritually. They have taken on extra duties including sharing leadership in
worship. chaii'ing meetings, managing the church site and the mans¢ and caring for the
congregation.
Financial Review
The church continues to raise funds which it needs to carry on its activities from within its own
Inembership and congregation and from income from hiring out the Ghurch premises. 'fhe church
will receive rent from December onwards fi'om letting the church manse until a new minister is
alled.
No wider public appeal was made for funds during the year.
The fnancial results for thc year, together with a summary of the accounting policies adopted are set
out in the accompanying financial slatemenls.
Thc accounts show that Ihei'e was a deficit for the year of £2,410.89 caused principally by
expenditurc on the Lhurch inanse in pirparation foi. its lettiiig.
The'fruslee5 are satisfied that ihey have sutTicient reserves al the end of the financial year, together
with ongoing income anticipated. to enable the church to function effectively in the coming year.
The'frustees have made an assessment of the major risks facing the chlirch, and are satisfied that
there air policies in place to minimise these risks.

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preporation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Acl 2011
{'Ihe Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carfied out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charily Commission
under section 14515)Ibl of the Act.
