## **Charitable Objects** 

To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations of individuals in Retford who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large with the object of improving their conditions of life, by the provision of access to non-worship space in St Swithun’s Church, Retford. 

## **Summary of Activity** 

There was no activity during the year, except for the holding of the Annual General Meeting on 6[th] November 2023. A decision to continue the charity was taken. 

There was no financial activity whatsoever during the financial year. The total assets of the Trust remain at £100, held in a dormant account in the Nat West Bank. 

I am pleased to report that the Church of England has appointed a new vicar and are investing in the Church to increase the number of worshippers and community involvement. 

The St Swithun’s Heritage Trust is once again active and is in the process of opening an account with the Cooperatve Bank. 

The charity trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is not needed.
