At all times the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued |
| purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts. |
by the Charity Commission on public benefit, this has been incorporated into all of our planning for the years activities and has informed the work that we have done throughout the year. We have regularly reviewed this guidance during our trustee meetings. We have been working in partnership with the local hospitals to determine the wish list of items and needs for the respective bereavement suites and identifying where there is a need for the equipment and resources. We have been able to signpost families affected by bereavement to receive the appropriate support and help and have included links within our website so families can access the right level of support when they need it. We have developed the relationships with health care professionals and midwifes, identifying the training and support requirements and working in partnership with other local charity called Children and Families in Grief. We have participated in a number of public events to raise the profile for the Charity and also to highlight where improvements are needed within the bereavement support and care within hospital. |
