Trustees, Report for the period 1° April 2023 to 31" March 2024 The Trustees, of ESPCSG present their report for the period ending 31" March 2024 Introductlon East Suffolk Prostate Canr Supwrt Group {ESPCSG) is a registered CIO charity wh08e aims are to provide support, information and help to all men ith prostate cancer, their familie8 arKI carers and was fomed so that they can meet together to find out more alx)ut their illness and what treatments or support is available to them. ESPCSG is njn entirely by volunteers and operates from the East Suffolk and North Essex Hosprtal Trust, Ipswich. for all prostate Cancer patierrts in East Suffolk catchment area. We have between 40 to 50 members attending these meeting8 usually. this was down slightly on previou8 years Organlsallon Th• Trustees are listed at the eThJ of the report. Our meeting8 are hdd in Tho Lecture Theatre. Edu(alp)n Centre, Ipsvith Hospital for patients and thelr carers at 7pm on the first Wednesday of aftem8te months February, April, June, August, October and December. Wo re again able lo hokl all meeb'ngs this year at thi8 veniKI. All members are kept informed of meetings or events by post, email or the informats'on is on our vmbsrte. At each meeting we had a speaker, mainly from the medical professN)n. followed by refreshments and an opportunrty to have a useful exchange of experiences rf anybody wishes. in an open and friendly atmosphere. We were very plea8ed to hold three PSA test events this year and tested 229 men. These were hekj in Hadleigh, Stowm8rket and Ipswich. This because we tried to go to small tthvns outside Ipswd). We donated £2550.00 to Ihree other charitie8 with a conneclion to Prostate Cancer. Fundlng We received £11,664 collections, donations. rth and refreshnxnt8.
