A<br>relatively limited array of activities were possible<br>through this period:<br>•<br>Continued implementation of strategies to<br>conserve cash and reduce running costs<br>(including ‘mothballing’ of major SEARRP-<br>linked field projects in Sabah).<br>•<br>Development of a (successful) grant<br>application to HSBC Private Bank to<br>support a forest restoration-focussed<br>research project in Sabah<br>•<br>Implementation of an independent<br>whistleblowing procedure<br>•<br>Review of Trustee skills sets and<br>contributions to the board – with a view to<br>making new appointments during 2022<br>1 _The SE Asia Rainforest Research Programme was_<br>_established by the Royal Society in 1985 and was_<br>_directly funded by the Society for over 30 years. The_<br>_formal relationship between the Royal Society and_<br>_SEARRP came to a close in 2015 and in early 2016_<br>_SEARRP was relaunched as the SE Asia Rainforest_<br>_Research Partnership (an independent Charitable_<br>_Incorporated Organisation)_<br>2_The Malaysia-registered and based SE Asia_<br>_Rainforest Research Trust and its wholly owned, not-_|
